Tool Making
Aluminum injection molds – also called prototype molds – are mostly used for the production of thermoplastic components in small to medium quantities. These can be the first experimental components made of original material on the way to series production or also small series for which other tooling techniques do not ‘pay off’.
The geometry forming contours are milled or eroded, possible undercuts are removed from the mold by manually removable loose parts. In this way, tool costs can be kept low. Due to the temperature control options provided, high-quality components are produced.
On request, surfaces can be polished or provided with an eroding structure / grain.
